Explanatory Answer

Distance = XT
From the table, we have:

XT=(X+6)(T−4)=(X−6)(T+6)⇒XT=XT+6T−4X−246T−4X=243T−2X=12…........(1)

Also,

XT=XT−6T+6X−366X−6T=36X−T=6… (2) 

Solving (1) & (2),

(1)⇒2×(2)⇒3T−2X=12−2T+2X=12

Adding the equations,

T=24⇒X=30

Distance =XT=720km
