Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, a renowned scientist and the founder of the Indian Space Research Organisation, was instrumental in establishing IIM Ahmedabad. He advocated for its setup in Ahmedabad, garnering support from local industrialists and government officials. 

His vision and leadership were crucial in founding this prestigious management education institution. In honor of his significant contributions, the campus library is named after Dr. Sarabhai, serving as a tribute to his enduring legacy in space research and education.
