The strength of a salt solution is p% if 100 ml othe solution contains P grams of salt. Each of threevessels A, B, Ccontains 800 ml of salt solution ofstrengths 20% 24%, and 32%, respectively. NOw,200 ml of the solution in vessel A is transferred tovessel B. Then, 200 ml of the solution in vessel Bis transferred to vessel C. Finally, 200 ml of thesolution in vessel C is transferred to vessel A. Thestrength, in percentage, of the resulting solution invessel A is ?(a) 21.88 (b) 22.88(c) 22.22(d) 22.56

Volume of solution in each vessels = 800mlSalt in each vessels , in A = 20% of 800 = 160 mlIn B = 24 % of 800 = 192 mlIn C = 32% of 800 = 256 mlWhen 200 ml of the solution in vessel A is transferred to vessel B, salt in B = 192 + 20% of 200 = 192 + 40 = 232 ml% of salt in B = 232/1000 = 23.2%So When 200 ml of the solution in vessel B is transferred to vessel C = 256 + 23.2% of 200 = 256 + 46.4 = 302.4% of salt in C = 302.4/1000 *100 = 30.24%Now when 200 ml of the solution in vessel C is transferred to vessel A , volume of solution in A = 600+200 = 800Salt in A = 20% of 600 + 30.24% of 200 = 120 + 60.48 = 180.48% of salt in A = 180.48/800 *100 = 22.56 %

Not understood the Last part (when 200 ml of the solution in vessel C is transferred to vessel A , volume of solution in A = 600+200 = 800) Volume of solution in each vessels = 800ml but how did you bifurcated 800 into ( 600 + 200 ) ?

Initially the quantity in vessel A was 800ml, but after 1st transfer (when the solution was transferred from A to B) the remaining solution in A was 600 ml, then finally in 3rd transfer (when solution was transferred from C to A), again quantity in vessel a increased by 200 ml, so net quantity became 800 ml
