PYQ not getting solved

In this question I solved this using 2 methods in M1 I converted 1 to log3 with base 3 and then in M2 I assumed logx base3 as T and solved the whole question. why am I getting the wrong answer in M1 and the right answer in M2.

    In the third line of your equation, the multiplication should be (log 3 to the base x)^2 and you've taken that product as -log 3 to the base x + log 3 to the base x
