Mr. Mallya is an unethical shopkeeper who uses faulty scales both while selling and purchasing food grains. He buys ‘y’ kg and sells 90kg instead of buying and selling 100kg respectively. If it is also known that he sells at 20% discount to the cost price and eventually earns 10% profit, then what must be the value of ‘y’?

if alpha and beta are roots of equation x^2 -x + 1 = 0 then which of equations have root (alpha)^3 and (beta)^3 there is a direct equation if ax^2 +bx + c = 0 have roots alpha and beta thenalpha^3 and beta^3 will have equation a(x^1/3)^2 +b(x^1/3) + c = 0 now according to question ans is (x^1/3)^2 - (x^1/3) +1 =0 .......................<1>but option are given x^2 + 2x + 1 = 0 in power of two . this is also the answer how do i simplify eqn<1> in power of 2 and not 2/3plz explain above approach?i know the other method by taking sum and product of root.
