Initially D, E and F had 320, 400, 560 candies respectively. They distributed these candied in such a way that D gave x% of his candies to E, after which E gave 2x% of her candies to F and then F gave x/2% of his candies to D. With this distribution, E was left with 0 candies. If instead they had distributed the candies in such a way the D gave x% of his candies to E, after which E gave x% of her candies to F and then F gave x% of his candies to D, then how many candies would D have after the distribution?

How did the CI come out to be 0.288x?
The solution
I understood the tree made in the solution but there is another tree that can be made with the given info- F(female) is married to A(male) and they have 2 children D(son) who is the husband of C(female) and B(daughter). E is said to be the grandfather of D (can be either maternal/paternal). This tree does not violate any rules I guess and according to this tree the answer should be D is the son of F.
