A group of men are building a wall. After half the wall has been built, double the number of men joined the original group. The wall gets completed in 6 days earlier than the scheduled. What is the total no. of days needed to complete the wall by the initial group of workers?

If half had been completed and the men doubled that means half the wall would have taken double the amount of time had the men not be doubled.so therefore half the wall would have been completed in double the time - 6 x 2 = 12 and therefore the full wall would have been completed in 12 x 2 = 24 days

24 isn't even one of the correct options.ย The options are 18,16,14 or 12

I assumed initial no. of days & no. of men be n & x respectively.
